Two-Factor Authentication for Merchants for Gateway Login

We’re making updates to the Gateway Portal to strengthen security and safeguard your business. Starting October 27, 2025, all users must meet new authentication requirements designed to reduce risk and enhance account protection.

Beginning on that date, you must either enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or update your password every 90 days. Two-Factor Authentication is a security method that requires users to verify their identity using both a password and a second factor, such as a code sent to their phone or email. If you choose to reset your password instead of using 2FA, you’ll receive a reminder when it’s time to update it. Please note that passwords must now be at least 12 characters long to meet these new security standards.

If 2FA is not enabled, you will be required to reset your password every 90 days. To avoid any potential service interruptions, we recommend enabling 2FA as soon as possible. You can enable 2FA two ways:

Option 1:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Portal
  2. Go to the top-right corner of screen and click on ‘My Settings’
  3. Click on ‘Two-Factor Auth’

Option 2:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Portal
  2. On the left-hand side panel, click ‘Options’
  3. Click on ‘Two-Factor Auth’

To help you prepare, a reminder message will appear within the Gateway Portal in September.
